bought this VS motor to repl. another burned out Hayward VS motor on a VFD EcoStar unit. At time of failure, the VFD was still functioning. While waiting 2 weeks to get new motor and install, the VFD decided it didn't want to work anymore, i.e. wouldn't 'talk' with itself. So I wasn't able to even try this motor. Hayward wants about $1000 for a new VFD!! That ain't happening! Sent back at MY COST PLUS took a 15% hit for "restocking" to boot. So this cost me a bunch of money and down time on pool for NOTHING! Not happy with Hayward's lack of support for their products i.e 1 yr. warranty is a joke for cost of units. Not pleased with 15% cost on a $600 unit I lost through no fault of my own. I bought another complete VS/VFD unit from another mfg. (and vendor) for about same money I paid for just this motor, with a 2 year warranty!!
