Bought this pump because my state does not allow the purchase of single speed pump motors any longer.  Install was straight forward. I tried running the pump at the factory suggested  preprogrammed speeds.  High speed was fine and my bottom cleaners work as they should.  The low speed would barely open the bottom cleaners and the 3rd speed would not open the cleaners at all.  So I set the pump to run high speed for 8 hours (same as my old single speed pump) and programmed the other two speeds to run at zero RPM to make up the other 16 hours per day.  Likely will not save much if any money on electric bills.  So much for the bean counters we pay to make our laws.  They listen to/believe the fantasy technology without any understanding/consideration of real world issues.  Bottom line I had to pay a lot more money for pump features that will not work and cannot be used in my pool.  Government at its best in wasting our hard earned money.
